Check out ths photo and tell me why you think one can of soda (with the exact same volume) would descend and the other would ascend? All hypotheses will receive a SAP.

I think that one would ascend while the other would descend because the two soda cans arer made of two different materials. I think the one ascending is made of a material that has the property of floatation,while the other can that is descending doesn`t have a property of floatation.
Maybe because one is coke has more suger and diet coke has less suger!Maybe because the diet coke is open!Also it might have less calories and carbs so it is less dence!And it has less density!
The coca cola can is more dense than the diet cocoa cola can is less dense . the one with more density sinks and the one with less density floats . example a ping pong ball floats a bouncie ball sinks. from chloe Farnan

The volume of the cokes is the same and it desity is diffrent causing the diet coke to go up and the reular to go down
